Terms of Service

Ranch Compass provides offline-first ranch record software for animal, herd, and operation records. By creating an account, joining a ranch, starting a trial, or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you use Ranch Compass for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

You are responsible for your account credentials, invited users, ranch organization settings, and activity under your account. Use accurate account information and keep access limited to people who are authorized to view or change the ranch records.

Ranch Compass may rely on instructions from ranch owners, administrators, or users who appear authorized inside the product.

Self-serve account deletion disables the account immediately and schedules final deletion 60 days later. Support may restore a scheduled deletion during that window. At final deletion, ranches with no other active user may be deleted with their synced storage; shared ranches remain available to remaining users.

You keep ownership of the ranch records, animal records, notes, events, and other content you enter. You give Ranch Compass permission to host, store, process, copy, transmit, display, and back up that data as needed to provide the service, support users, secure the platform, and comply with law.

Ranch Compass is designed to avoid lock-in. You may use available account tools or request help to export ranch data. Some exports may not include every internal audit, sync, or security field, but they should provide practical ranch records in a usable format.

Offline functionality depends on local device storage, browser or operating-system behavior, available disk space, and later network access. Records entered offline are queued for sync when the app reconnects. Do not uninstall the app, clear browser storage, wipe a device, or loan access to a shared device unless you understand that local records or sessions may be affected.

Ranch Compass keeps event history and is designed so concurrent offline work does not silently overwrite separate entries. If two users edit the same fact differently, both changes may require review by the ranch.

Ranch Compass may offer free trials, paid subscription plans, promotional pricing, or usage limits. Prices, billing intervals, included features, and renewal terms will be shown before purchase. When paid billing is enabled, a third-party payment processor will handle payment details and billing records.

Unless the checkout or plan terms say otherwise, subscriptions renew until canceled. You can cancel future renewals through the product or by contacting Ranch Compass. Amounts already paid may be non-refundable except where required by law or stated in writing.

You may not misuse Ranch Compass, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, probe or attack infrastructure, upload malware, violate law, infringe others' rights, scrape the service, resell access without permission, or use the product to store content you do not have the right to store.

Ranch Compass may suspend or restrict access to protect users, ranch records, the service, or legal obligations.

Ranch Compass is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide veterinary, medical, legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, animal-health, marketing, or financial advice. You are responsible for management decisions, treatment decisions, withdrawal compliance, tax reporting, and any filings or disclosures based on your records.

We may change, add, or remove features as the product develops. We work to keep the service reliable, but internet access, device storage, third-party providers, and offline sync are not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free.

You may stop using Ranch Compass or cancel your subscription at any time. Ranch Compass may terminate or suspend access if you breach these terms, create risk for the service or other users, fail to pay when payment is due, or if we discontinue the service. Before deleting an account or closing a ranch, export records you need to keep.

Ranch Compass is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ranch Compass will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, lost data, animal loss, production loss, or business interruption. Any aggregate liability will be limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 US dollars if you paid nothing.

We may update these terms as Ranch Compass, vendors, billing, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the service after updates become effective means you accept the updated terms.
